The Callaway plant is located in Fulton, Missouri approximately 25 miles north-northeast of Jefferson City, Missouri.  The Westinghouse PWR is operated by Union Electric Company.  The plant is owned by AmerenUE, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ameren Corp.  The plant’s license expires October 18, 2024.

Ameren has not yet announced its intentions regarding an ISFSI, however, it is anticipated that one will be needed by 2019.  As of the end of 2010, there were 650 metric tons of SNF stored in the Callaway spent fuel pool.
