Comanche Peak Units 1 and 2 are located in Glen Rose, Texas approximately 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.  The Westinghouse PWRs are operated and owned by Luminant Generating Co., LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Luminant Holdco.  Unit 1 is licensed to operate until February 8, 2030.  Unit 2 is licensed to operate until February 2, 2033.  Luminant is currently seeking a general license for an ISFSI at Comanche Peak, which will be needed in 2017.  As of the end of 2010, there was 1,980 metric tons of SNF in storage at the 2 nuclear power plant sites in the State of Texas — Comanche Peak and South Texas.
